His compatriot Rafael Nadal, who has won the Wimbledon title twice, will not be able to compete due to a hip injury so can’t add to his collection of grand slam titles. Matteo Berrettini, who missed the tournament in 2022 due to COVID-19, is expected to make a comeback this year.
Other potential contenders include Alexander Zverev, Casper Ruud, and Felix Auger Aliassime, who are all in top form and could make a deep run in the tournament. My tip though is the Carlos Alcaraz, who is currently first in the ATP Rankings and has been in excellent form on grass courts. As I believe he will get the home crowd support too.
Both will face tough competition from Russian Daniil Medvedev, who returns to the tournament after being banned in 2022. With the unpredictable nature of grass court tennis, the tournament is sure to produce exciting matches and upsets, making it a must-watch for all tennis fans.
